Plant Surveys

The Catena Group, Inc. has conducted multiple terrestrial plant surveys for federal, state, and municipal governments, as well as for clients in the private sector. Our services include identification and mapping of rare and protected plant species habitat, presence/absence surveys, and plant community mapping. The staff at The Catena Group has as much as 40 years combined experience conducting plant surveys for North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) roadway projects as well as development projects in the private sector. We have conducted surveys for Schweinitz’s Sunflower, Michaux’s Sumac, Cooley’s Meadowrue, American Chaffseed, Purple Coneflower, Small-anthered Bittercress, Dwarf-flowered heartleaf, and Rough-leaved Loostrife, among others.
